Do you know how many people have died from contact with a moving vehicle? I don't, but I know it's a lot more than have died from West Nile virus, but you don't see anyone talking about eliminating vehicles because they're a danger to humanity. People are so unfamiliar with the natural world that every little thing looms as a major threat. It's difficult to keep your perspective on anything that's unfamiliar.
