Christian hosts the BayCHI monthly program in June, where Jeremy Britton and Jonathan Smiley will talk about “a holistic approach to design for people,” covering such topics as

  • Sketching to sell and open up the idea
  • Creating a product blueprint with proof points
  • Finding team overlap between Marketing, Design, Engineer functions

Past speaking engagements

Christian will be co-presenting with Gabi Moore on the topic “Broken Experiences: Fixing UX One Pixel at a Time.” We’ll talk about an internal project at AOL designed to enlist all employees in an effort to identify subpar and broken experiences at AOL sites and get them fixed.

Christian will be teaching a full-day workshop on social experience design with Erin Malone at the 2012 Information Architecture Summit in New Orleans. [+]

Christian will be chairing a roundtable discussion on the changing shape of Deadhead community online as part of the Dead Caucus at the SW/TX Pop Culture conference. [+]

Christian hosts a solo presentation from Di-Ann Eisnor of Waze and a duo presentation from AnswerLab’s Sal Becerra and EA’s Laura Smith at PARC on the second Tuesday of the month.
