If I'm Short with You

If I don’t answer the phone, if I don’t make time for small-talk, if I don’t return your e-mail, it’s nothing you did. I am under intense deadline pressures and need to work almost around-the-clock till Friday to make final milestones on my book. Even after that I will have a few more weeks with tough deadlines, but I should start to reengage with the rest of the human race starting next week.
