Greg Palast, author and award winning BBC repporter, will speak this Sunday on “George Bush the Second: Subverting Democracy from Florida to Venezuela”. Palast broke the Enron and Florida election scandals, and he’s just returned from Venezuela where he helped uncover the U.S. government’s role in the recent coup.

Join MA and the World Affairs Council for a timely exploration of the media’s coverage during wartime.
Panelists include Reese Erlich, a freelance journalist recently returned from covering the war in Pakistan and Afghanistan; Mary Jo McConahy, an editor for Pacific News Service who’s worked as a correspondent in the Middle East; Mark Danner, a longtime staff writer for The New Yorker and a professor at the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley; and Norman Solomon, syndicated columnist and media critic.
