Veep candidates asked to compare themselves

· 2004 Election

Ifill asked Cheney to compare himself to Edwards.
He says that though he doesn’t talk about himself much he is also the son of a mill worker, or something like that.
He’s been laid off and hospitalized without healthcare.
He left out a few other points of difference:
“I’ve been arrested for drunk driving.”
“I had other priorities during Vietnam.”
“Also, I eat babies. Edwards doesn’t.”
