Ladies and gentlemen, the weekend

I was anticipating the new season of Severance since they started announcing it last fall and now life has gotten so crazed I am tending to catch the newest episodes days late instead of right when they drop.

And then all of a sudden a show about a job where the people at the top are cruel and inhuman and they attempt to control your life, and in which the workers are completely imprisoned and under surveillance by a sinister force conducting some sort of horrific conspiracy doesn’t feel quite as relaxing as I once thought it would be.

But now, at least, I get two days to unplug and a brief reprieve from the Project 2025 playbook being run on my ass, so I guess I will try to finish the episode that started streaming on Thursday night.

I love that show to death though “relaxing” is not the word I would use. I find it so immersive that I completely forget what my outie (the me who was not watching it) was thinking about. It is stressful within that world but that world is hermetically sealed.
