Waiting for the other shoe to drop

So it’s another day of doing my job while trying to understand what the plan is, what’s on pause, and what is going to happen next. The judge who stayed the deadline for forking ourselves heard arguments yesterday and then left the stay in place indefinitely (until he makes his decision).

Meanwhile, inside the house it was crickets, as if they were hoping to run out the clock on their new Monday midnight deadline despite the continued stay. Ultimately the judge demanded that OMB make an update and so finally at the standard 21 minutes after 5 on the west coast we got another one of those emails with the sketchy sounding sender “‘HR’ via GSA All Feds” announcing that the program remains open to registrations.
