Working for no one but me

The other day the Reverend Bill jinxed me by complimenting me on my recent blogging streak, during which I managed to get something posted here at least once a day since sometime in January when all hell started to break loose.

And just like that I took a day of rest yesterday, without really planning to.

It was a busy day: took the car into the shop, got caught in several light rainstorms on walks, caught up with an old friend and spent the whole hour castigating the idiots wrecking our society, walked more than 10,000 steps, and got much further along on my tax workbook.

But it was also, as I said, a day of rest. I didn’t grind on any new project, I didn’t send out any new job applications, I didn’t accomplish things or try. Still by last night I was bone weary and I slept like a stone.

Love that version of “Taxman.” “This is awful….”

Does he say “beware the pennies on your eyes?”
