Cycles of Reading

Catching up on my favorite sources of media junk, sitting out back on the hammock, flizes of all sizes flitting around me, with the occasional mosquito trying to blend in. A few good articles in Salon, which I pay for. Many good articles in Slate, which Bill Gates pays for. Nothing new at the Onion.
Lately, with all the travel, I haven’t had much time to catch up on the Well, in my home mailing lists, or on Usenet. With a final push coming for my book this upcoming week, I’ll either keep falling behind in those communities for a while or use them to procrastinate. I’d rather get the whole book in the can first, though. I’ve suffered through enough impossible deadlines and this last bit shouldn’t be too bad.
