Making Sense of Marcel Duchamp

As I just posted about in my artsflow blog, Andrew Stafford has built a fascinating Flash website called Making Sense of Marcel Duchamp, in which he employs this interactive medium to illustrate and contextualize the works of one of the 20th century’s most penetrating artists.
The navigation for the site is a timeline, and Stafford has mentioned that readers impatient with Duchamp’s early life should be sure not to miss 1923, the year of The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even (commonly known as The Large Glass). The animation of that piece is a wonder to behold.
Full disclosure: Andy is a friend and I’m also a fan of his Red House Books site, a source of used, rare counterculture and bohemiana titles.
