Wishlist as manifesto

In anticipation of BloggerCon, Dave Winer recently put out a general call for suggestions about the next generation of blogging software, from the user’s perspectives. What features would we like to see? what’s missing? what do we need? what’s next?
Shimon Rura and Lisa Williams have taken a first cut at sifting through the suggestions and roughly sorting them into conceptual groupings in The Weblog Wishlist as Manifesto.
At the moment, the categories include

  • Create
  • Simplicity
  • Blog anything and everything more easily
  • All together now: SPELL CHECK!!!
  • Connect
  • Community
  • Conserve

The manifesto also includes a summary wrap up and an amusing famous last words section at the end.
Joe Bob says check it out.
