The new phonebook is here!

I was unwinding on Friday afternoon near the end of a long week and tuned into Human Music with Bill the Cat on Humboldt Hot Air, coming soon to actual airwaves near you (if you live near Humboldt, one would assume).

As expected (disclosure: I am long time fan of Bill’s deejaying, mixtape, and playlist curation skills, among his many talents), the groove was just what I needed just then.

The current playlist for yesterday’s show seems to show only a portion of what I heard (unless I hallucinated it, and these days, who knows!)? In my dream, let’s say, between Sly & the Family Stone doing “Somebody’s Watching You” and Bowie doing “Conversation Piece” there was by spontaneous impulse Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me“…

…and then to my greater delight, the official program continued seamlessly into thus undocumented waters, maintaining the Bowie feel with a song by Knox Bronson for which I missed the title, followed by Robert Wade’s delightful “The Ballad of Bob Dillon” and then Layer of Meta’s not yet officially released “Saint Lucifer” (which features Wade on both lead guitar and bass).

Nice milestone for the forthcoming record!
