Definitions category?

I’m thinking of setting up a category called Definitions and then occasionally writing posts giving my take one “what is a weblog” and all the other jargon in this field. It’s a huge barrier to entry! Then I can link to them in the sidebar for new visitors too.
I also plan to prune the old category structure but that involves reassigning or purging some entries, so I want to think about that carefully and document my process as I go.
