I was listening to an audio book by Anthony Kaldellis today and suddenly had this whole idea for a historical novel set mostly in 10th century Constantinople. I already have a working title for it (The Epistrophikon) and a bunch of ideas about settings, scenes, themes, the main character (Hraban or Korvax to the Greek-speaking Romans) and well, when am going to actually write it? After (gestures vaguely), I guess?
Meanwhile, I found out September 12th won’t work (see previous post) so we’re back to the drawing board looking for a date for the release party when the whole core Layers of Meta band can be available. Stay tuned!
What else is on my voluminous plate? Let’s see. Return the Canon LiDe 300 scanner we bought by mistake and get a 400 that can handle slides. Re-start the “estate planning” process. Continue testing the interface of Piper Morgan and fixing it as I go. Finish reading the third of three pilots Peter Hirsch sent me and reconnect with him to discuss all these possible writing projects, including Dinosaurus Rex.
I’m sure I’m forgetting something else, too. Or more likely several somethings else, but that’s plenty for today.
