OK, so I managed to install a little subscription thingie down there above the footer (hidden till you pull it down because it’s kind of fugly in my no-sidebar design here currently), and it seems to work in getting people signed up (me in a test account as my smarter older brother Mycroft and friend of the blog The Reverend Bill of the Philter fame and many other riveting reads).
Problem is, I posted a new entry this morning and… nobody was notified. No email went out. The culprit may be that I allowed the widget to limit mail by requiring a specific nonexistent category before sending out the post.
I have tried to rectify this by selecting the “All” categories option, so let’s see if this one sends?
